Symptoms
In Workspace, you open a Financial Reporting (FR) report. In Member Selection for a Point of View or Prompt dimension, you do a wild card search on a very large dimension, using the syntax
*membername*
You will receive the following Microsoft Internet Explorer warning, and no returned results:
The search works correctly for a small or moderate-sized dimension.
You will see similar behavior in Studio, except that the search will cause Studio to freeze.
If you enter the full member name, the member will be returned correctly.
