It is suggested to have the combined values not higher than 10 minutes, as this might have a negative performance impact.
Purpose
The purpose is to calculate the combined parameters of NETDELAY and NETRETRYCOUNT to make sure they are not set above 10 minutes. It is suggested to have the combined values not higher than 10 minutes, as this might have a negative performance impact.
Scope
Example for calculating the combined NETDELAY and NETRETRYCOUNT values:
Example A is to calculate the combined value for the default values.
Default is 200 for NETDELAY and 600 for NETRETRYCOUNT
200 x 600 = 120000
Divide by 1000 = 120
Divide 120 by 60 = 2 minutes
Example B is an example of the combined values for ten minutes.
1000 for NETDELAY
600 for NETRETRYCOUNT
1000 x 600 = 600000
Divide by 1000 = 600
Divide by 60 = 10 minutes
