BQY Processing in EPM Workspace Returns the following Error: "Failed to Acquire Access to Database. SQL*Net not loaded successfully." (Doc ID 948648.1)

Symptoms

This problem occurs with EPM 11.1.1.3 on AIX 64-bit 5.3 TL6 against an Oracle 10.2.0.1 database.


When trying to process a BQY in Workspace which references Oracle Net/Oracle in the OCE, the following error is returned:

"Failed to Acquire Access to Database. SQL*Net not loaded successfully."

If we press the OK button in this error message window, another error is returned:

"An Interactive Reporting error has occurred.-Exception raised by Data Access Service, Unknown Exception - Possibly Loss of Communication. Error Code: 2001".
