E1: JAS: AIS: How to Change the JAS/HTML Server or AIS Server Timezone for Any Application Server (Doc ID 1260014.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 16, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Web client or AIS Server users and the HTML Server or AIS Server are not in the same timezone.  For example, users are in India (GMT+5.30) and the server is in the US (GMT-7) timezone. The HTML Server or AIS Server log messages are based on the US time-stamp.  For business reasons, the HTML Server or AIS Server needs to run in the India timezone. Also, the logs (e1root log, user level debug log, etc.) need to have the Indian time-stamp for troubleshooting certain Web/HTML client issues.

You do not want to change the server/machine (where the application server is running) timezone value because it will affect other processes as well.   You would like to know how to make this change.
