Purpose
Overview
Item Branch Duplication can be used when item information that applies to items in multiple branch/plants (such as costs, prices and units of measure) needs to be copied from one branch/plant to multiple ones.
Use Item Branch Duplication program (P41015) to select individual items for duplication, or use the Item Branch Duplication Batch program (R41826) to define criteria for multiple items that need to be duplicated.

Note:
- When duplicating item information, the system does not duplicate the primary location for an item. The system uses the blank location for the branch/plant to which the information is copied.
- The system creates an Item Location (F41021) record using a blank location for the new branch/plant. No quantities are copied from the original branch/plant.
- If a branch/plant record exists for an item, the information for this item will not be updated/duplicated. Only records for which no match is found in the Item Branch table will be copied.
