Purpose

Overview

This document aims to provide the reader with an understanding of the Advanced Pricing UOM Sequencing functionality and how the pricing engine can allow a flexible search on UOMs (Units of Measure).
The user now has the ability to define the search units of measure in a price UOM sequence at the item level; the pricing engine then searches those units of measure for applicable base prices and adjustment(s). There are three new values added to the Sales Retrieval Unit of Measure (UDC 40/SU) in the System Constants (P41001) to support this functionality. The user still has the option to search only by Primary, Pricing or Transaction unit of measure, but can now additionally search over all units of measure defined in a search sequence. This does not change how adjustments are applied, only how they are located. The pricing engine will still search for adjustments the same way - this enhancement allows units of measure to be included when searching for a base price and adjustment(s). Currently in EnterpriseOne, when a base price or adjustment is found, no other units of measures are searched - this functionality has not been changed.
