General Warehousing

Question 1 – When using warehousing and entering Inventory Transactions (P4112, P4113, P4114), why doesn’t F4602 (Location Detail Information) file get updated by these programs?

Question 2 – What can be done in order to freeze inventory?

Question 3 – Can the primary location be used as a picking or putaway location with Advanced Warehousing?

Question 4 – Is it possible to use regular non-warehouse items on a warehouse branch?

Question 5 – Are there any Repost programs in Warehousing?

Question 7 – Having identified a sales order/purchase order relationship in the cross-docking workbench, is there any way to prevent the backorder release program from allowing allocation from another purchase order?

Question 8 – What dates are verified when checking the option to not mix item/lot dates?

Question 9 – Why will a replenishment or putaway request allow items to be mixed in a specific location if the MIXL (Mix Item/Lot) value in the P4100 (Location Master) has a value of 1 (One item per location) defined?

Question 10 – What is the purpose of the LMMPTL (Merge Partials) and LMMUMS (Merge Unit of Measure Structures) and how are they populated in the F4100 (Location Master)?

Question 11 – Way Wave, Task and Trip fields are blank in F4611 (Warehouse Suggestions) even if run the re-suggest R46171 (Location Selection Driver) process?

Putaway

Question 1 – Why doesn’t R46171 (Location Selection Driver) generate putaway suggestions to random locations?

Question 2 – What is the recommended process for receipt reversal when the putaway process has been completed for a purchase order?

Question 3 – When using Inventory Cost Method of a 3 (Item/Branch/Location/Lot), why doesn’t the system create an item cost record in F4105 for the new Item Location (F41021) record when doing the Putaway Confirmation for an item that is lot controlled?

Question 4 - How can multiple zones be setup for different units of measures when using a Tiebreaker 1 (sequence) during the random Putaway process with the same random rules?

Question 5 - Is there a setting or process that will cause the Purchase Order Number to populate the DOCO / Document Number field seen when you row exit to detail from an IQ Cardex record which is associated to a Receipt/Putaway Confirmation?

Question 6 - How can you define the WMS system to suggest putting away items that can be stacked or nested together? (The dimensions of quantity 2 of these items nested together is not equal to the dimensions of a single item * 2.)

Question 7 -Random Putaway is being used. The Movement Instructions are set with the Putaway Tiebreaker of 7, "sequence locations by proximity to the base picking location, using the closest locations first." If several locations are tied for the Proximity after R46027 is run, how does the system decide the next level of sequencing?

Question 8 - When processing the R46171 for Putaway Requests and a location is selected for Putaway of the entire receipt quantity, why does the UBE continue to attempt putaway of this quantity to additional locations?

Picking

Question 1 – Why doesn’t the Location Selection Driver (R46471) UBE process pick requests when the quantities have decimals places?

Question 2 – How can a Sales Order be cancelled once a Pick Request was generated? If canceling the request and then going to sales order detail, the “Cancel line” row exit is inactive.

Question 3 – If hard committing at sales order entry this does not create a hard commitment in Location Detail Information (F4602), thus over picking may occur.

Question 4 – Why is Pick Confirmation (P4617) program updating the Weight and Volume in the SO Detail (F4211) file?

Question 5 – During the Pick Confirm (P4617) process of a multiple line pick suggestion for a single sales order line, why is the original sales order line (1.000) canceled to 983/999 and a new sales order line is created (1.001) at a status of 913/550?

Question 6 - Why isn't a pick or replenishment suggestion created when the Picking/ Replenishment Instructions are set using a UOM Group?

Question 7 - Which is the link in F4611 (Warehouse Suggestions) between the phase 1 and phase 2 suggestions ?

Question 8 - What is causing error 3452 - No instruction table found seen when reviewing a Pick Suggestion in P4617?

Question 9 - Why is the Pick Suggestion directing you to break down a unit of measure which cannot be, should not be broken down based on the setting for this UM in P46011 - U/M Definition by Item, field Picking Breakdown (Y/N) (Alias: PKBKD)?

Replenishment

Question 1 - When processing a replensihment request (R46171), the error 3584 -Instructions not found is being issued, but the instruction is setup in the F46095. What is the cause of this issue?

Unit of Measure

Question 1 – What UOM will be used when generating a request (F4600)?

Question 2 – Is it possible to use a UOM group (set up in P46096) in P46011 (UOM Definition by Group) and P46024 (Location Capacity Definition by Group)?

Question 3 – Why does the P41002 (Unit of Measure Conversions) application displays the error "Level 1 Unit of Measure Must Be Primary" (029C) when Warehousing module is activated and the items are managed with Serial Number and the Lot Process Type(SRCE)=7 ?

Pick, Pack and Ship

Question 1 – Why is "B4600950 EndDocFailed" error received in Work Center after clicking OK in Work with Shipment Cartons (P4620) application even though the carton details were created successfully?

Question 2 – Using the Standard Pick Pack and Ship functionality, why is the system generating the Standard Pack Carton only, but not the Standard Pallet?

Question 3 – Why wouldn’t the Carton Detail (P4620) application create shipment pieces if all the set up is in place?

Question 4 – When calling the Carton Details (P4620) application upon Pick Confirmation in P4617, why isn’t the system updating the Carton Detail Information (F4620) with UPC numbers?

Question 5 - Can the Work with Shipment Cartons (P4620) application be set up not to allow mixed lots?

Question 6 - Where is the next number for the carton ID (CRID) pulled from?
