Purpose

This document gives details on how to configure a E1 Deployment Server to build and deploy Business Services Server package.

The configuration required for Building BSSV packages is similar for both Deployment Server and a WebDev client. The principal distinction between a WebDev client and the deployment Server resides in the fact that the WebDev client points to a E1 local database for a given path code (Local – DV900 for example) while the Deployment Server local database is the Local Planner database. During the deployment process the table F98825E is updated with app server information.  This table may need to be generated in the Planner - 900 datasource.

While we recommend that the WebDev feature is installed on a WebDev client to be used to build/deploy BSSV packages, the deployment server actually does NOT require the WebDev feature to be installed.

For any other information, please refer to the BSSV Primary Doc (DOC ID 967281.1)
