E1: FDA: How to Enable and Use Hover Viewer Forms in Application Releases 9.1 and 9.2 (Doc ID 1451431.1)

Purpose

Hover or pop-up forms are message forms that show context-based information about a form or grid field. This helps users to view information about form and grid fields without having to navigate away from their current application view.

This document provides information on how to setup and use the new Hover Viewer Form functionality.

Scope

The Hover View feature is supported in Application Releases (9.1, 9.2) in Web environment. i.e. J environment. This feature is not supported in Application Release 9.0 with tools release 9.1. Enhancement BUG 19601680 REQUEST TO PORT AUTO-SUGGEST AND HOVER FUNCTIONALITY BACK TO E9.0 APPS RELEASE requests the functionality be moved back to 9.0.

 Issue 1: Why do I receive invalid validation errors when using the hover viewer form?

 Issue 3: Created a new feature and enabled it but I get a Web Client Exception com.jdedwards.runtime.vtcomponent.form.VTFindBrowse incomptible with com.jdedwards.runtime.vtcomponent.form.VTMessage
 Issue 4: Enabled hover form for *PUBLIC for P41700 but some users are not able to see the labels in the hover form opened. A few other user are able to see them. Why is there a  difference in behavior?
