Purpose

This document is intended to describe the User Defined Codes used in Job Cost.  The User Defined Codes are available from Fastpath G5142 or EnterpriseOne Menus/Project Management/Job Cost/Job Cost Setup/Job Cost User Defined Codes/P0004A and then the desired UDC table.

Scope

JD Edwards uses User Defined Codes (UDCs) to allow users to customize fields in the system to meet the needs of the business environment.  UDCs are defined by the product code and the user defined code list.  The system stores the tables for all of the user defined codes in the User Defined Codes table (F0005).  As an example, product code “51” (Job Cost) and user defined code list “TC” (Chart Type).  Here is an example:
