E1: ESU: R98700 ESU Merge Process Occasionally Fails to Merge ER with Existing Code (Doc ID 1623237.1)

Last updated on MAY 30, 2017

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

E9.1 TR9.1.3.3

Occasionally an ESU will be installed, and the R98700 shows that the object was CHANGED successfully, however the ER from the ESU was not actually merged into the existing object.

Changes

An example is the R07136 object from JM13821. After running the R98700, it showed that the object was CHANGE with SUCCESS. However, upon examining the code, the ER changes expected from the ESU installation are not present in the object. The ESU Merge process should never be doubted. When an object shows Changed on the R98700, the code should always be updated.
