E1: 31A: Rounding Remaining in WIP After Running R31804 (Doc ID 1623929.1)

Last updated on JUNE 27, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Shop Floor Control - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When R31802A / Manufacturing Accounting is run for issued components with Cost Components records (P30026) extending four decimals, the R31802A writes IM journal entries rounded to two currency decimals, but writes to the Production Cost Table (F3102) actual fields in four decimals. When R31804 Variance Accounting is run, the calculation for the balance in the WIP account is based on four decimals.

This causes a difference between the calculated balance for the WIP variance journal entry, and the difference between the actual and completed journal entries remaining in the WIP account to be cleared. When R31802A is run with the work order number populated as the sub-ledger, the difference in calculation leaves pennies behind in each sub-ledger in the WIP G/L account.
