Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using One View Reporting (OVR) in a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Configuration

SSL has been enabled between Oracle BI Publisher and EnterpriseOne HTML Server to ensure secure network communication.

The EnterpriseOne One View Reporting soft coding record has been configured to use the SSL connection. The BI Publisher certificate has been imported to the EnterpriseOne HTML Server keystore, but for some reason the system doesn't appear to be reading it, or accepting that it is a trusted certificate and it fails with the following error message:

WARNING: Unable to connect to URL: https://jdeovr/xmlpserver/services/v2/ReportService due to java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

One View Report displays "Error Occurred" message.
