Purpose

 This document provides solutions to reported issues on the web client getting this specific error message:

JAS_MSG346: JAS Database Failure

In many cases, the web client can easily get JAS_MSG346 JAS DATABASE FAILURE message when database connection errors occur. To troubleshoot this kind of error, the user needs to duplicate the issue and provide logs from HTML server running on Web application server like Websphere or Weblogic (or OAS in older release), eg:

- jas.log and jasdebug.log

- e1root.log or jderoot.log
