E1: TR: How To Request a Tools Engineering Fix Proof of Concept (POC) (Doc ID 2122582.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 19, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

To implement a currently available Tools Release fix from an associated bug into your system, the expectation is that you will install the Tools Release level or web only maintenance pack that includes the fix for the bug.

On rare occasions you may need to request a one-off Engineering fix (also known as a "Proof of Concept" or POC) for an issue reported in a bug. For example:

For these one-off exceptions, this document provides the information required to enter a POC request.

As noted in the JD Edwards Applications and Tools Lifetime Support document (Doc ID 2602788.2):

Starting October 2022: POC Requests are no longer available for Tools releases prior to 9.2.7

NOTE: Providing POCs are subject to Development discretion and will only be made available for the current major dot release level and the one prior, e.g. 9.2.8.x and 9.2.7.x. Thus, any of the 9.2.6 releases and prior are not eligible for POCs.

NOTE: POC requests will not be considered for new features or requested enhancements.
