Symptoms

A UBE Task displays "Permission Denied" on an E1Page when application security is applied at the report version level.
The same UBE Task runs successfully from the E1Page when application security is defined at the base object (Report Object) level, and when the version is run via Batch Version.

 

Step#1- Add application security for *Public (No version specified, Run = N, Install = N) and User (Version specified, Run = Y, Install = Y) levels

Step#2- Run application from batch Version and it runs successfully

Step#3- Create and launch E1 page to run associated UBE task (Report R0006P|XJDE0001) and confirm it is disabled (permission denied)

Step#4- Change the application security to the report object level for User (no version specified)

Step#5- Report Version is running correctly from Batch Version

Step#6-  Launch E1 page to run associated UBE task (Report R0006P|XJDE0001) and it runs successfully
