Purpose

Object Usage Tracking provides information to determine frequency of objects being used within a path code. Object usage is captured by User/Role/Environment/Path code each time an object is launched by the user or the system

List of object types tracked:

• Interactive Application (APPL)
• Batch Application (UBE)
• Business Function (BSFN)

This information helps customer determine the objects that need to be validated prior to upgrading or applying an update to the system

Scope

This document is intended for the Security Administrator who will be responsible to determine frequency of objects being used within a path code. Object Usage Tracking is available for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Application Release 9.0 and later releases.

Pre-requisite Tools Release: - 9.2.1.2

Pre-requisite ESUs depending on Application Release

• 9.2 Bug 26024939
• 9.1 Bug 26417717
• 9.0 Bug 26417723

Object Types Tracked

• Interactive Application (APPL)
• Batch Application (UBE)
• Business Function (BSFN) executed in call object kernel and ube on enterprise server (starting with Tools release 9.2.2.0 and above)

Object Usage Tracking UDOs (only available in Applications Release 9.2)

Download UDO from Update Center by searching the bug number. Click on the UDO name to find all the components.

UDO_9.2_10509 is for 9.2.7 and above.

UDO_9.2_10459 for 9.2.6
