Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to enter a PO in the P4310, using an Invalid Business Unit Error ID 3091 Business Unit Invalid is correctly given

Business Unit Number Invalid Warning
CAUSE: This business unit number does not exist in the Business Unit
Master file (F0006).
RESOLUTION: Enter a valid business unit number or add the business unit
number to the Business Unit Master file (F0006).
Please look for the highlighted fields or use Go To Error links to move the focus to the control with the error, correct the entries, and resubmit your request

However After correcting the Business Unit to a valid BU the same error is given i.e. Error ID 3091 Business Unit Invalid
but the detail has changed reporting a form level error has occurred i.e.

Business Unit Number Invalid Warning
A form level error has occurred.

The expectation is that the when the user enters a valid Business Unit the error message should be cleared and they should be able to continue as it does in E1 9.0

Steps To Duplicate:

1. Go to Menu G43a11 / P4310 Click Add to add a new PO, Enter Supplier i.e. 4242 then an invalid Business Unit/Branch Plant i.e. AAC
2. Notice Error ID 3091 "Business Unit Number Invalid" is correctly given. Make Note of Error Detail and ID
3. Replace Business Unit with a valid entry i.e. 30. Notice Error ID 3091 "Business Unit Number Invalid" is given. However detail now reports "A form level error has occurred."
4. If this same test is done in 9.0 after entering the correct BU the error message is cleared and the user can continue
