E1: PRINT: Print Immediate Does Not Work when Report is Submitted from the Web Client
(Doc ID 2420197.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 01, 2024
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Print Immediate via UBE submission fails when report is submitted from a web client. The report runs on the Linux Enterprise Server.
However, Print Immediate is successful when the report is submitted from a WIN32 client localhost (local web) to the same Linux Enterprise Server.
Steps to duplicate:
- Run Batch versions application: Enter BV in fastpath.
- Submit a report. (example R0010P). From Printer Selection screen -> under Document Setup (tab), select the check-box 'Print Immediate'
- Print immediate does not work. Report is not printed on the printer.
The following is shown in the UBE debug log:
The following statement indicates the postscript printer spool file (.ps) is created in the /oracle/jdedwards/e920/temp folder as correctly indicated by the netTemporaryDir=/oracle/jdedwards/e920/temp setting in the Enterprise Server jde.ini under [JDENET] section.
prtFilter_doPDFtoPSProc - /oracle/jdedwards/e920/jdeJre/bin/java -classpath ../classes -jar ../classes/convtops.jar -d 0 -n 1 -c /oracle/jdedwards/e920//PrintQueue/R0008P_XJDE0001_5959_PDF /oracle/jdedwards/e920/temp/fileylDRAm
Why is the following statement shows that the spool file output (.ps) is opened from the /oracle/jdedwards/e920//PrintQueue/ folder instead of the /oracle/jdedwards/e920/temp/fileylDRAm folder?
PRTPS_OpenOutput opened /oracle/jdedwards/e920//PrintQueue/R0008P_XJDE0001_5959_PDF.ps for output
