Questions and Answers
Question 1: Does the R8931CTSX UBE function the same if run AFTER the CTS1 CTS2, CTS3 and CTS9 fields / files were already changed?
Question 2: Should we Run the R8931CTSX Conversion when QTYINV Data Class Display Decimals is set to zero? What is the Recommendation?
Question 3: We are upgrading from JDE 8.12 to JDE 9.2, and will be running multiple data conversions. I have already run the UBE for our test environment and per KM Doc ID 2481837.1 Process Step 4, after the UBE completed updating the MFG Tables for CTSx, I then changed the DD Display Decimal for CTSx to match the DD Display Decimal for TRQT. In researching this in Km Doc ID 2481837.1 and KM Doc ID 2529405.1, because the Data dictionary is global for all environments, I see that if you have already set the DD Display Decimal for CTSx to the same decimal value as DD Display Decimal TRQT as instructed after running it for i.e. the test environment. If the R8931CTSX UBE is run again for i.e. Prod Environment the UBE will do nothing. Is this correct?
Question 4: As noted above in Q&A 3 we will be running the UBE for one environment at a time i.e. Test, then Prod. What is the recommended way of running this UBE multiple times to get the UBE to update the CTSx fields in the MFG Tables when the DD Display Decimal for CTSx has been set to i.e. 4 to match DD Display Decimal TRQT?
