Last updated on APRIL 09, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Human Resources Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When there are more than one company in and ALE Member ID that share the same Tax ID and one of the companies has a expired effective date, when a manual 1095C is entered for an employee whose company is still effective, the incorrect reporting company populates the 1095-C.

Example:

P08118 - ALE X-Ref is setup such that:

Setup one ALE ID assigned to 4 companies of which Tax ID A is assigned to 01000 and 02000 and Member A; Tax ID B is assigned to companies 08922 and 08970 and Member B.

Company 08922 has an effective date of 12/31/17

Employee's home company is 08970.

This issue is possibly causing a problem down the road (during corrections)where the Tax ID B correctly lists Member A in the <OtherALEMembersGrp>, however Tax ID A is missing Member B.

The error received is:

The IRS returned the following error:

<ns2:ErrorMessageCd>1094C-060-02</ns2:ErrorMessageCd>

<ns2:ErrorMessageTxt>If Form 1094C checkbox 'AuthoritativeTransmittalInd' is checked and 'AggregatedGroupMemberCd' has a choice of "Yes" indicated, then at least one instance of 'OtherALEMembersGrp' must have a value.</ns2:ErrorMessageTxt>

<ns2:XpathContent>/Form109495CTransmittalUpstream/Form1094CUpstreamDetail/Othe

rALEMembersGrp/BusinessName</ns2:XpathContent>

This incorrect reporting company may be causing this issue and/or a 1094-C Correction for All ALE members is not creating the XML Correctly.
