Symptoms

In Chrome version 76.0.3809.132 and later visual assist icon display as 3 dots/ellipsis instead of magnifying glass icon in grid column with Auto Suggest.
For additional information on Auto Suggest review E1: GRID: Auto Suggest Feature in EnterpriseOne E1 9.1 Application Release and newer (Doc ID 1480526.1) .

In Chrome version 83 visual assist icon display as 3 dots/ellipsis instead of the magnifying glass icon in grid column with/without Auto Suggest.

When user clicks on the 3 dots/ellipsis, nothing happens.

This issue has been reported in Tools Releases 9.1.x, 9.2.x, 9.2.3.x, 9.2.4.x

This issue can be duplicated with the following steps :

1. In P958974 Work with Feature Authorizations ensure there is entry JDE_ItemAutoSuggest on Data Item UITM for login environment (chrome version prior to 83).
2. Enter P48201 in fast path to launch the Work With Work Order application.
3. Enter an Order Number and click Find.
4. Select the order and click Row Exit > Parts Detail.
5. On the Work Order Parts List Revision form (P17730 | W17730A), in the grid column Inventory Item Number, the Visual Assist Button display as 3 dots/ellipsis (instead of Magnifying Glass).
    Nothing happens when user click on the ellipsis.

IE11 the 3 dots/ellipsis display together with Auto Suggest and Visual Assist icons. Clicking on Visual Assist work as expected.

 

In Firefox the Auto Suggest and Visual Assist icons display as expected.

Changes

Update Chrome version 76 and later.
