E1: ORCH: Include Descriptions for Key Fields (e.g. UDC Values) in Output of Orchestration (Doc ID 2613417.1)

Last updated on JUNE 27, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Using the orchestrator to integrate with a different system to send order information. This includes a lot of UDC codes which are meaningless to the recipient, e.g. MOT = 2 (meaning railway).

Is it possible, if the data/form request contains a UDC based field that the context (i.e. the UDC description) could also be added in the output rather than just the short code and having to add another request to fetch its description? If there are many UDC descriptions to be collected it takes up performance and also complicates the JSON outputs generated.

Similar function could be useful for other look ups (e.g. for AB numbers use the P0101S).
