E1: SEC: Recent Reports Link User ID Field Replaced With "*" Instead of User ID (P986110B) (Doc ID 2634016.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 02, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Scenario 1:

Column security is set up on WSJ-View Job Status P986110B | W986110BA, data item alias USER, with VIEW access so a user who executes a job will see only their jobs.  However, when the secured user selects a Recent Report from the Carousel, the User ID is replaced with "*" instead of the User ID enabling the user to look at all jobs.

Scenario 2:

When user try to access Recent Reports from the Carousel, the system passes an asterisk "*" to the User ID field instead of the specific User ID of the sign-on user. If the "Clear Form" icon is clicked on the Submitted Job Search form (P986110B | W986110BA), the system will clear out the QBE fields (Job#, Host, Port Number).

Now, the sign-on user is able to see reports submitted by all other users across all environments. In the previous App.releases (e.g. E910), the Specific User ID of the sign-on user is passed in when user access the Recent Reports from the Carousel.
