E1: ORCH: Can't Edit SREQ ("Reserve" Option Grayed Out) In Orchestrator Studio If SREQ Is In A Project (Default Project) (Doc ID 2643338.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 26, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Orchestrator - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

It used to be possible to have a project with your SREQ, ORCH, RULE objects etc. check them out and edit them in the IoT studio. This is not working anymore with the new Studio.

After upgrading to TR 9.2.4.2 when trying to save while the object is in another project you get the error:

"Object Token Not Available

CAUSE........ The token for this object is currently held by another project. Request for token queue or inheritance is not allowed from the user defined object editors.

RESOLUTION... To queue up or inherit token, launch P98220W and perform the check out."

This message is correct since the Studio is putting the object automatically into the default project even though it's already in a project and checked out. So the workaround is to remove the object from the project, edit it in the Studio (which puts the object in the default project) and move it again to the project.

Thus it is not possible anymore to just check them out in P98220W in your project folder and then edit them in the Studio.

NOTE: Issue reported for 9.2.4.1 as well

Changes

upgrade to TR 9.2.4.1 or 9.2.4.2 (both can exhibit issue)
