E1: 03B/WRKLFW: Using a Hierarchical Distribution List for the Credit Limit Workflow Causes the Workflow Instance to go into Error (P02150, P03013, P98860) (Doc ID 2678145.1)

Symptoms

Programs/functionality affected or involved:

The same issue can be duplicated on tools release 9.2.4.2 as described in Tools Bug 20795665 - CREDIT LIMIT WORKFLOW - ROUTING ISSUE IN DISTRIBUTION LIST FOR AUTOAPPROVAL.  This is even though the fix for this issue has been or should have been included as of tools release 9.2.0.0.

Set-up:

Group 1:         0.00

Group 2: 40,000.01

Group 3: 75,000.00

Using Customer Master Revisions (P03013) when a credit manager belonging to Group 1 changes the credit limit for a customer assigned to this credit managers’ group from e.g. 10,000.00 to 12,000.00, the system sets the pop-up notification that the change has been submitted for approval.  This is correct.

However, there is nothing in the credit manager's Work Center.  And Process Task Monitor (P98860) shows that the instance has gone into error.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Setup:
    1. P01012: set up records for the following:
      1. Credit managers' parent group.
      2. 3 credit managers.
      3. Customer.
    2. P0092: set up records for the following:
      1. Credit managers parent group.
      2. Credit managers.
    3. UDC: set up the credit managers' parent group in 01/CR.
    4. P02150: set up the distribution list for the credit managers as follows:
      1. Group 1: one credit manager from Step 1; threshold value: 0.00.
      2. Group 2: second credit manager from Step 1; threshold value: 40,000.01.
      3. Group 3: third credit manager from Step 1; threshold value: 75,000.00.
      4. Check "First Response" and "Higher Level Override"; leave "Authorization Required" unchecked.
    5. P03013: set up the credit managers' parent group as the credit manager for the customer.
    6. OMW:
      1. Set up a recipient rule for (one of) the CREDLIMIT version(s) for the credit managers' parent group.
      2. Activate the version.
  2. Process:
    1. Log in as the first credit manager.
    2. P01012: inquire on the customer and go to row exit "A/R".
    3. Go to the Credit tab and change the credit limit from 10,000.00 to 12,000.00
    4. Note the pop-up window and that the credit limit has not been changed (because the change still needs to be approved or rejected).
    5. Open Process Task Monitor and inquire on instances for the CREDLIMIT workflow. Note that the instance has gone into error.
    6. Go to the Work Center and check any messages for the credit limit change. Note that there is no message.

DESIRED OUTCOME

The CREDLIMIT workflow instance should not go into error for a workflow with a hierarchical distribution attached to it, if "Authorization Required" is unchecked.
