E1: GRID: Newly Created/Existing Grid Formats Cannot be Selected Successfully by Users as Grid Always Takes a Specific Format Irrespective of Selected Format (Doc ID 2679841.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 26, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When end users create new custom grid formats, they can create the grid formats successfully without any errors. However, when trying to select this new grid format, the system always defaults to a specific custom grid format. It is not possible to select and apply the newly created personal grid formats. The problem is specific to new grid formats only and some of the existing grid formats can be selected and applied successfully.
This issue is identified to be specific to one environment only ( ex. JQA920 ).

For example, on some application there already exists a personal grid format XYZ. A user creates new grid formats ABC and PQR. Whenever the user selects ABC or PQR, the grid switches back to XYZ format always. When inquiring in P98220U - Work with User-Defined Objects application, only XYZ appears but no records for formats ABC or PQR appear at all.

The same issue can happen with existing grid formats as well.
