E1: 49: P4620 Carton Reorganization Fails to Update Gross Shipment Weight and Fails to Create Shipment Pieces (F4943) (Doc ID 2711104.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After a shipment has been created, and the Carton Reorganization (P4620) operation is performed, where a carton and a pallet are added, and then items are added to the containers, the weight of the packaging is not reflected in the Gross Weight calculation.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In P4620, add a pallet, then add a carton. Note the weight of these 2 packaging items.
  2. Add a quantity of the ordered item to the carton, then use the Cut/Paste buttons to add this carton to the pallet.
  3. Confirm the operation, which brings the user back to the initial P4620 screen; click FIND.
  4. Review the gross weight and it ONLY shows the item weight from when the records were created via SO entry; no weight for the packaging is included, and no Shipment Pieces are created in the F4943 table.
