E1: 42: Potential Issues with Parallel Subsystem Processing of Multiple R42950 Versions

Symptoms
Customer has been running three active threads of R42950-XJDE0005 in subsystem however recently, two of them have been ending in error. Sometimes they end immediately, sometimes they end a couple days later, but in all cases one thread continues to stay active (P-processing).
The understanding is the R42950 does not support parallel subsystem processing and there should only be one active subsystem version for R42950.
Is that still true in release 9.1 , or has it changed?
If it's still only one active subsystem, any suggestions why three worked in the past and only recently started crashing?
