E1: 34: R3483 MRP Generates Incorrect Planned Transfer Order (OT) Messages for Items Setup with Periods of Supply (OPC4) Order Policy, Minimum and Maxiumum Order Quantities (Doc ID 2759227.1)

Symptoms

As a result of running R3483 for an purchased item controlled by Order Policy Code 4 (Periods of Supply), demand exceeds supply in the future. Quantity of Planned Orders (Order Type OT) are less than demand quantity.

Branch relationship (P3403T) is set for the item.
Minimum Order Quantity and Multiple Order Quantity is set for the item in ItemBranch Information (F4102).

Steps:

1. Create new Manufactured Item and Purchased Item in Br/Pl 20 (P4101, P41026).
2. Add a BOM using above 2 items (P3002). The Manufacture Item is Parent item. The Purchased item is Component.
3. Add another Br/Pl 10 for the purchased item in ItemBranch Information (P41026).
4. For the purchased item of Br/Pl 20, Order Policy Code is 4 (Periods of Supply) and order Policy Value is 2 (days) in ItemBranch Information (P41026). And also set 100 to Minimum Reorder Quantity and 50 to Multiple Order Quantity in Quantities row exit.
5. Branch Relationship (P3403T). For the purchased item, set Br/Pl10 as Supply Branch and Br/Pl20 as Demand Branch.
6. Add forecast for the Manufactured item (P3460).

8. Attach parts list for all work orders.
9. Demand (forecast) and Supply (work order) of the Manufactured item is balanced.

For the Purchased item, there is 18EA on-hand quantity. But Demand (component quantity in parts list) is 400EA as below. So demand exceeds supply quantity.
