E1: 47: When an EDI Order is Processed via EDI Inbound 850 processor (R47011) the Inventory Commitment Preference is Pulling the Wrong Branch Plant (MCU) (Doc ID 2779897.1)

Last updated on JULY 25, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne EDI - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When an EDI order is processed, Inventory commitment preference is acting differently then it is when entering the order on-line.

An inventory commitment process is setup for multiple branches.
Some items are not defined in all branches.

EDI Inbound 850 processor (R47011) is trying to allocate from a branch where the item is not available based on the logs and producing an ERROR: Location not in item location file.
P42101 (Sales order entry) using the same customer/item does properly select the correct branch plant.
