Symptoms

Unable to retrieve file type media object attachment from a customized application. This issue started after moving the media object attachment files from file server to database (F98MODAT - Media Object File Data Storage).

This issue is specific to media object attachments inserted via a third party custom program in to F00165 and the related files copied to file server based on the path defined in P98MOQUE (Work With Media Object Queues).

The attachments that are attached via standard process are working fine.

Steps:

  1. Using a third party custom program, insert attachments to F00165 (Media Objects storage) and copy related files to the file server (to the path defined in P98MOQUE).
  2. Run R98MODAT (Media Object Load) to move these attachments from file server to database (F98MODAT - Media Object File Data Storage).
  3. Now, try to retrieve these attachments from the application which has accessibility (in this case it is a customized application) to these attachments.
