E1: UBE: Any Report Submitted With Server Override Still Submits To Any Available Servers in a Virtual Batch Queue (VBQ) Setup (Doc ID 2783618.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2023

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While submitting a batch report by overriding the location to an actual batch server in a virtual batch queue (VBQ) enabled setup, the work with submitted jobs (WSJ) application's "Actual Host" column still shows the name of the other batch server involved in VBQ.

Consider an example setup as below:

1. CxxxxxXY is the virtual host
2. Cxxxxx0X and Cxxxxx0Y are the actual batch servers
3. Jobs were submitted with override location to Cxxxxx0X but some of the jobs were going to server Cxxxxx0Y.
4. As you can see, ‘Actual Host’ column displays the other batch server name Cxxxxx0Y even though the job was overridden to Cxxxxx0X.
