Symptoms

When attempting an Inventory Transfer (P4113) in the same branch of a lot controlled item from one location to another, the system returns a hard error than prevents the transfer.

ERROR MESSAGE:
Item Location not found (3259)
CAUSE . . . . There is no Item Location Record for this Business Unit/Location Item combination.
RESOLUTION. . Use the Primary Location Revisions (P41024) or Item Balance program (P41026) to set up the appropriate Item Location Record in the F41021.
OR
If inquiring on a location, use a valid location for the Item/Lot combination.

The error was issued from the F4111EditLine Business Function on line 3889 of the code.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Go into Inventory Transfers (P4113) and enter the From and To Branch Plant as the same Branch Plant
  2. Using the Visual Assist select the "From" Lot and Location and enter a quantity that is less than the quantity available in the location.
  3. Enter the "To" Location and edit the line.
  4. System returns the "Item Location not found" (3259) Error.
