Symptoms
R3002CPY (Copy Bill of Material by Branch/Plant) Processing Option #4 is misleading and confusing for users.
4. Component Branch/Plant values <== This is NOT referring to P41026
1 = Retain the original component Branch/Plant values
BLANK = The component Branch/Plant will be updated to match the copy to Branch/Plant
Help about:
Use this processing option to enter the Component Branch/Plant value. If the Component Branch/Plant value differs from the Parent B/P value, enter 1 to retain the original Component B/P value. If left blank, the Component B/P
value will be updated to match the Copy To B/P value. Note: If the original Parent and Component Branch/Plant values match, the Component B/P value will always be updated to the Copy To B/P value.
Users think that this Processing Option is referring to the Component P/P (P41026) instead of the specific field CMCU field within the Bill of Material (P3002).
