Symptoms

Line added to order doesn't get added to shipment detail file (F4942).

If the user goes into the 'Freight Information' on the header screen to check routing and shipping dates after having gone back into an order to add additional line(s) then the additional line doesn't get added to the shipment file (F4942) - however the shipment number is updated to the sales detail file (F4211).

This happens when an order has been committed to the database and at a later stage the user goes back into the order to add additional lines, and also if the user has gone into the Freight information form to confirm shipping details.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. P42101 (Sales order entry) enter S4 Order - requested date set in the future
  2. Take Form Exit to Freight Information - want to check dates and freight information
  3. After checking, close out and then submit and close from P42101
  4. From inquiry - select row exit to view shipment
  5. From work with shipment select row exit, revisions and then detail - you will see the 3 lines on the shipment
  6. Now you go back to you order. Exit completely. Go back to menu.
  7. Next you go back into the order and add a line
  8. You go back into Freight information from header to go and check freight information, you accept (select green tick) and go back to order, then submit and close and re-inquire - see all 4 lines belong to same shipment
  9. Then select row exit - order - to work with shipment - from work with shipment form select row exit, revisions and then detail - You will see that the 4th line didn’t get added to the shipment file

F4942 - has 3 lines
F4211 - has 4 lines, all with the same shipment number.
