E1: OMWWEB: Unable to Checkout and Promote User Defined Objects (UDOs) in a Copied Project Using Object Management Workbench - Web - P98220W
(Doc ID 2816929.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 10, 2023
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When the project is created from another project using "Copy Project" row exit in P98220W (Object Management Workbench - Web) and when the UDOs come along from the old project to the new project, those UDOs cannot be checked out successfully nor they are getting promoted to the higher environment using the new/copied project.
When trying to check out the UDOs in the new project, project gets the token for the object but icon does not change to indicate checked out status and checkin option is also not available. When the same project is promoted, only the project status gets updated but no objects are getting promoted.
Steps to replicate:
- Create a new UDO - Eg: A grid format in any application
- Share the same using P98220U
- P98220W - Create a new project - eg: DK001
- Add above grid format to this project by using Add Existing Object button in P98220W
- Create another project - eg: DK002 by using Copy Project row exit on DK001
- Try Checking Out the UDO under DK002 - Got the token but checkout is not showing as successful. No on-screen message and no Checkin option
- Try promoting the project DK002 to 26. Project status got updated to 26 without any error but object did not make it to PY. Cannot find this object in P98220U in PY
