E1: 41: Functionality Available for Non-Blank Approved Lot Status (Doc ID 2828285.1)

Last updated on JULY 31, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Currently, only a blank value lot status is considered as approved. All non-blank status values are considered on hold. This does not support best business practices since blank does not provide any information or indicate any action has been taken.

Allow set up of non-blank approved lot statuses (specified by the special handling code provided in UDC 41/L (Location Lot status), and enable all applications that validate lot status to recognize these statuses as such. One new batch program will be developed to update the existing Lots to recognize the new approved status as part of new feature adoption.

The Lot Status Mass Update (R41085) program enables you to update the lot status codes in the Item Location table (F41021), Item Master table (F4101), and the Item Branch table (F4102). You can also update the lot status code in these tables using the R41085 program without setting any value in the Enable Non-Blank Approved Status (NBLOTSTS) field in the Work with EnterpriseOne System Control program (P99410).
