JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
An order is raised with EUR and USD currencies, and an exchange rate is retrieved for the order date. Additional exchange rates are added for future dates, and the order is invoiced via R42565 on one of those future dates. A version of R42950 is set with the option to update the exchange rate based on the Invoice Date. When R42800 sales update runs over the order, with options set to call this version of R42950, the expected exchange rate update is not performed. Running the same version as a standalone UBE does work as expected.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
- Use P0015A to set exchange rates for a currency pair, for the date that an order is to be raised and for dates in the future - use differing rates.
- Raise an order for this currency pair on date x, observe that the expected rate is retrieved.
- Perform order invoicing with R42565 a day or two later. Confirm that the F4211.IVD field (Invoice Date) shows this date.
- Add a new version of R42950 that is set to update the exchange rate, and based on the Invoice date (options 2 and 4 in the 'Process' tab).
- Set a version of R42800 to call the version of R42950 defined in the preceding step. (Tab 6, 'Cost Update' in R42800).
- Run the R42800 and observe that it completes without error, and does call the R42950 which also completes; the R42950 PDF shows that no exchange rate update was performed.
- Running the same version of R42950, with data selection over the order number, works correctly.
