Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a user executes a Task Search, menu items from a secured task view are displayed in the Task Search results. Although the user is not able to launch the application due to error "You do not have permission to access this application", the application is still displayed.

Steps:

1. In Feature Security, (fast path P00950, row exit Feature Security) verify TASKSEARCH is enabled.

2. In Menu Revisions, Task View Revisions, verify the Task View is secured (e.g. Task View 97).

3. In P00950, Work With User/Role Security, add Solution Explorer Security - set Menu Design to View for the User or Role.

4. In Server Manager, clear jdbj cache.

5. Log into EnterpriseOne as the User.

6. In the Fast Path / Task Search field, enter an application (e.g. P0101Z). Note the Task from secured Task View 97 displays in the Task Search results.

7. Error issued when trying to launch the application in the secured Task View.
