Symptoms

Specific roles are created to control Watchlist access for JDE Users. These roles are given View access on the Watchlists . (View security is enabled for Watchlists on these roles). However, when users login with these roles, the desired Watchlists do not appear for the user in the list. Issue is observed for Watchlists which are created directly in Databrowser  on a Business View or a Table. Watchlists, which are created from within application, are visible for the same users using same roles.

Steps to replicate :

  1. Login to Web Client.
  2. Use Fast Path to open Databrowser.
  3. Open Business view V0101E in Databrowser.
  4. Create a new Watchlist.
  5. Click Request to publish button in Watchlist Manager.
  6. Open P98220U (Work with user defined objects ) from Fast Path.
  7. Select the newly created Watchlist and share if for all users.
  8. Open P00950(Security workbench ) and take UDO security >View Security Form Exit.
  9. Enable View security for the JDE ROLE that is desired to have View Access on the Watchlist.
  10. Logout from WebClient.
  11. Login to Server Manger or request your Admin to clear security cache of the HTML server.
  12. Login back to Web Client ensuring that the user has the desired role assigned (The role which was given access to Watchlist).
  13. Notice that Watchlist is not visible for the user.
  14. Repeat above steps but create the Watchlist from within any interactive application, such as P01012.
  15. Notice that Watchlist appears if proper view security is given.
