E1: 41: Blanking the Lot Status Code from P41280 (Lot Availability) Does Not Blank / Remove the Lot Status Code from the Lot File (F4108) (Doc ID 2853111.1)

Last updated on JUNE 15, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using the P41280 Work with Lot Availability to blank out the lot status code from the Row exit for Lot Status Update it is not blanking it out in the Lot application / file (P4108 / F4108), only the Work with Lot Availability program P41280 and Item Balance file F41021.

Blanking out the lot status code in the Lot Application does update both the Lot File and Item Balance file. Users expect to be able to blank the lot status code from the P41280 Work with Lot Availability and have it go through the lot file also.

STEPS

  1. In Item Master (P4101) create an item with secondary locations/lots that have a lot status code of 'T'.
  2. Adjust inventory into each location in Adjustments (P4114).
  3. P41280 Lot Availability set processing option #1 under the display tab to blank.
  4. Inquire on the item which will display all locations and lot status codes.
  5. Take the row exit for Lot Status Update for one of the lots.
  6. Blank the lot status code.
  7. The Lot Status Code is blank for the P41280 Lot Availability and F41021, however, it is still populated for the P4108 (F4108) Lot File.
