Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After switching from Classic Media Object to Enhanced Media Object, in Attachment Manager when using Download-ICON the downloaded file name (created in the Zip file) does not have file extension or has an invalid file extension. Therefore the file cannot be opened.

Steps: (tools release 9.2.1.0 and above)

1. Ensure JAS.INI [OWWEB] setting useEnhancedMediaObjects=FALSE per E1: MOBJ: Understanding Advanced / Enhanced Media Object (MOBJ) functionality available in 9.2.1 and newer (Doc ID 2199562.1).

2. Fastpath P01012. Find any Address Number e.g. 4090.

3. Goto Row(Attachments). In Classic Media Object, select Local File. Upload 2 PDF files with name (including file extension) longer than 50 characters, for example, :
    51 chars - 11111111112222222222333333333344444444441234567.pdf
    54 chars - 11111111112222222222333333333344444444441234567890.pdf
    Save.

4. Fastpath Databrowser. Table F00165. Find OBNM=ABGT, TXKY=4090
Note GTITNM is truncated to 50 characters
    11111111112222222222333333333344444444441234567.pd (invalid partial file extension)
    11111111112222222222333333333344444444441234567890 (no file extension)
Note GTFILENM stores the location of the uploaded file including the file extension (.pdf)
    \\Jdedep\e920\mediaobj\htmlupload\FILE-169-254-123-57-49073021408080075-1650931056710.pdf

5. Ensure JAS.INI [OWWEB] setting SupportActiveXIE=FALSE (ActiveX Off).
Change JAS.INI [OWWEB] setting useEnhancedMediaObjects=TRUE per E1: MOBJ: Understanding Advanced / Enhanced Media Object (MOBJ) functionality available in 9.2.1 and newer (Doc ID 2199562.1).

6. Fastpath P01012. Find Address Number 4090.  Goto Row(Attachments).
In Attachment Manager select both files and click Download Icon.

7. Open the downloaded Zip file P01012_W01012B.zip
