E1: 41: P41203 (Lot Track & Trace Inquiry) not Sequencing Transactions Correctly Using Trace Backwards
(Doc ID 2869320.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 26, 2024
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When inquiring on a lot number using the Lot Track & Trace Inquiry (P41203) with the select backward and detail radio buttons select, the transactions for that lot number are displayed with the oldest dates first. The expectation is that with the trace backward option selected, the newest transactions will appear in the grid and the older transaction dates will appear at the bottom of the grid.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Setup a lot controlled item in the Item Master (P4101) and Item Branch (P41026).
2. Enter a purchase order (P4310) for the item.
3. Receive the item and create a new lot number at the time of PO Receipts (P4312).
4. On the next day, using the P4113 (Inventory Transfer), transfer part of the lot to a new location in the same branch.
5. On the next day, create a new purchase order and receive the order using the same lot number.
6. Go into the P41203 and select the trace backward and detail (additional filter) radio buttons.
7. Input the item and lot number created above and click find.
8. Expand the folder that contains the lot number. Note the sequence the records are displayed. The first receipt is displaying first and the newest receipt is the final record on the grid. With the trace backward option, it is expected that the newest record will display first.
