E1: 12: Asset Master Inbound Processor Does Not Increase Asset Next Number (R1201Z1I) (Doc ID 2870272.1)

Symptoms

When uploading Assets using Asset Master/Equipment Tag Inbound Processor (R1201Z1I), if the Asset Number (NUMB) is populated in Unedited Asset Master Transactions (F1201Z1), R1201Z1I does not increase the Asset Next Number in P0002.

The issue does not occur if the Asset Number is not populated.

Steps

  1. In Set Up Next Numbers by System (P0002), verify the Asset Number.
  2. In Work With Unedited Asset Master Transactions (P1201Z1), enter a new batch, populating the Asset Numbers.
  3. Run Asset Master/Equipment Tag Inbound Processor (R1201Z1I) for the above batch and verify new Assets have been created
  4. Verify the Asset Number in P0002 has not been modified.
