Symptoms

ROE, record of employment, processing is creating duplicate records in EI history, F06176, when an interim check with a date previous to the payroll work dates is merged with the current payroll, P07210.

Steps:

1.  Create an interim check, P07210I, for a Canadian employee with a date prior to the payroll you will run.  Ex:  dated 4/1/22.

2.  Merge this interim check with regular payroll, P07210, for this employee, using a payroll date later than 4/1/22.  Ex: 6/1/22.

3.  Process payroll through Final Update, P06250, using the Payroll Workbench, P07210.

4.  In the ROE Workbench, P770631, add an ROE for this employee.

5. Check EI History, F06176 and note the interim check appears twice with identical information.
