E1: 76B: Update FCI Information (R76557B) Fails To Update Brazil Sales Information After Changing Item Regional Information at Item Master Level (Doc ID 2875409.1)

Symptoms

Update FCI Information - Sales Order Detail Tag File Brazil (R76557B) fails to update the Detail Tag File – Brazil (F76422.BORI) Item Origin and Tag file F76422 - Sales Order Detail - BRA - 76B Import Content Form (F76B4210.B76FCI) for existing Sales Orders after making a change to the Item Regional Information.

This happens when the item used in the order does not have Item Branch Regional Information at Item Branch Location Level.

System should query the Item Master Regional Information - Brazil (F76411) table when item does not have information in the Item Branch Regional Information - Brazil (F76412) table.

Like normal behavior for Sales Order Brazilian Additional Information - Brazil (P4210BR), if there is no data stored for the Item Branch Location (F76412), system should use the information in Item Master Regional information (F76411).

Steps to Duplicate:
Item Setup:

  1. Create a new Item Master (P4101) Record for Brazil Localization
  2. Add Item Master Regional Information – Brazil (P4101BR) at Item Master Level
  3. Create Item/Branch Plant Info. (P41026) for the item
  4. Review Item Branch (location) Regional Information – Brazil (P76412B).
    1. Even though it shows Item Branch (Location) Regional Information on this screen, this information comes from Item Master Regional Information setup.
    2. In DATABROWSER check Item Branch Regional Information - Brazil (F76412).
    3. There are no records in the table.
    4. Regional information for this item is pulled from the Item Master Level.

Test Steps:

  1. Enter a Brazil sales order for the item just previously created (P4210/P4210BR)
  2. In Item Master Regional Information (P4101BR) change the Import Content Percentage.
  3. With SO Entry (P4210) verify the Last/Next status for the sales order is 520/540
  4. Now run the Update FCI Information - Sales Order Detail Tag File Brazil program (R76557B) to update open order with the new Item Information.
  5. See the PDF results for R76557B shows message “Failed to Update FCI Information”
  6. Look at the Work Center for error message
  7. Check the JDEDEBUG.log and see, the reason is because it could not find records in F76412 Table for this item.
