E1: 43: Purchase Order Entry (P4310) Clears Requested Date Value and Updates Promised Delivery Date when Alternate Tax Rate/Area is not Defined (Error ID 0037K) Warning is Displayed (Doc ID 2876120.1)

Symptoms

In an environment with Alternate Tax Rate/Area Assignment active, create a purchase order for a company with Alternate Tax Assignment active. Ensure the purchase order entry version displays the header form first. The user populates the Requested date field prior to clicking Ok. When the Ok button is clicked the warning message 0037K - Alternate Tax Rate/Area is not Defined is displayed. The Requested date value is cleared. The Promised Delivery date field is now populated with the Requested date value.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. For a company with Alternate Tax setup as a warning message, in Purchase Order Entry (P4310) with Display Header processing option active, create a purchase order.
  2. Populate the Branch Plant, Supplier Number and Requested date values.
  3. Note the Order Date defaults to the current date.
  4. The Promised Delivery date field is blank.
  5. Click Ok to accept the order header.
  6. A warning message is displayed indicating Alternate Tax Rate / Area is not Defined.
  7. Note the Requested date field has cleared.
  8. The Promised Date field is now populated with the Requested date value.
  9. The issue can also be duplicated with other warning Alternate Tax related warning messages such as Address Book xxxx does not have a Tax Id (0073E) or Address Book xxxx has Blank Country Code (0073D).
