Symptoms

Tools Release 9.2.4.6

Customer has created an Orchestration with a DB connector to write and update records in an external database.  When running the Orchestration to update several records it is taking a long time in process.  They do not see issues with their E1 transactions.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Customer created and Orchestration to send sales order data out of E1 system and add/update records into tables in another database.
  2. The Orchestration has many steps and is iterating over several detail lines.
  3. They are using iterate functionality to process each detail line which then calls a DB connector step.
  4. With every detail line processed, it is taking up to 1 second.
  5. So that when updating 20 lines of detail, it takes 20 seconds to process.
  6. They do not see any performance issues with the same database outside of Orchestrator Studio

Here are some messages seen in the AIS server debug log indicating that with each DB connector call it is taking about 1 second.  This repeats for as many lines of detail that are being processed.  In this example 23 lines process in 23 seconds.
