When doing an Unplanned Issues (P31113) and the user enters an Invalid Account Number which produces Error 043C (Account Number xxxx.x is invalid), this will cause the next line to Creates Duplicate Component Line Number (CPNB)

Steps:

  1. Add Work Order (Either P17714 or P90CD002)
  2. Added 1 Part on Parts List (not required)
  3. Go to Inventory Issues (P31113)
  4. Customize the Grid by adding Component Line Number to display on the grid
  5. Add an Un-Planned Issue and put an Invalid Account number in the "Account Number" field
  6. Tab Down (Error 043c Account Number xxxx.x is Invalid)
  7. Go back to the line and clear the account number out
  8. Tab down to the next line and the error will be cleared
  9. On the new line,  enter another unplanned issue item and tab down again
  10. Notice that the Component Line number is duplicated as the one above.
  11. Now you have 2 lines with the same Component Line Number (CPNB), This is very Bad as it causes Integrity Issues. for example; Cardex (Item Ledger) does not get written for the duplicate line!!
